Meghan McDonald
Meghan brings to TRC the experience of over 10 years of working in the climbing industry. She is the Director of Programming and Manager at TRC and co-coaches Team Rock, TRC’s competitive climbing team.
Meghan was first introduced to rock climbing at age 14 and hasn’t looked back. She has climbed around the country and worked and instructed in gyms in New York, Tennessee, and Connecticut. Meghan has been involved in competitive sports since grade school and played Division I soccer in college. She brings this background of high-level training and competing to her own climbing and to those she coaches and trains. As an athlete she’s competed in the US Bouldering Nationals and won numerous local and Regional events. As a coach, from working with kids with special needs to USA Climbing Team members, Meghan is eager to work with climbers of all ages and abilities to help them push their limits and reach their personal goals. If she’s not climbing or coaching, you’re likely to catch Meghan in the great outdoors, killing herself playing racquetball, or enjoying the City.
In the summer of 2006 Meghan traveled around the U.S. to sport climb and boulder in over 20 states. The trip was sponsored by companies including Urban Climber Magazine, Madrock, Trango, and prAna. Her article about the trip was featured in the Nov/Dec 2006 edition of Urban Climber Magazine and a website dedicated to the adventure is online at www.SendTheStates.com.
Meghan is currently a Mad Rock sponsored athlete. If you want to climb like the pros, check them out at www.madrockclimbing.com

Dave Raue
Dave is the Rock Club’s General Manager. After a long career in the international chemical business, he decided to “pack it in and do something more fun before it’s too late.” After partnering with The New Rochelle Racquet Club, TRC is the result.
Dave’s family pulled him into climbing in 1996. “I’ve always been pretty much of a jock,” he says, “but climbing just blew me away. It’s the most addictive thing I’ve ever done.” If TRC visitors are lucky they may see Dave pulling hard in his 80’s spandex.
Newcomers to TRC are sometimes surprised to learn that Dave doesn’t actually climb outside much. “I’m really a gym rat. I came to all this later in life than most, so I was already doing other outside sports.” Those include kitesurfing, skiing and a little cycling.
Favorite sports venues: Verbier (off-piste!), Outer Banks, Alta, Mt Washington
Dave also likes to dress up…
