We're adjacent to the New Rochelle Racquet Club in downtown New Rochelle directly opposite the Home EXPO Center. NYC climbers take note! We're also easy to get to using Mass Transit.

Driving Directions - please read carefully


Please take the time to read our directions! We get regular calls from those who just go for it. Our directions are the fastest and most direct - but only if you read them completely. Save gas, cell phone minutes and annoyance. Read them through to find out where you're coming from, then use the neighborhood map.

1. First, please PRINT the neighborhood map.

2. Follow the general directions below to get to the immediate area and use the neighborhood map.


  1. I-95 Southbound (from I-287 & Tappan Zee Br., CT)

  2. I-95 Northbound (Cross Bronx Expwy, New England Thruway) from NYC, Bronx, GW Bridge, NJ

  3. From Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island

  4. Hutchinson/Merritt Pkwy Headed Southbound from Central Westchester, CT

  5. Cross County Pkwy Eastbound from South-Central Westchester


3. We're in a very densely developed area with one way streets and cul de sacs. You will actually be following "No Outlet" signs. Actual distances are very small, the scale of our neighborhood mapis in feet!. Use the neighborhood map to find us.

4. Please do NOT use Mapquest, Google Maps, Yahoo, etc. If you do you WILL get lost. GPS systems aren't much better. Some work, others don't.

5. To save time and annoyance please use our directions and PRINT the neighborhood map.


1. I-95 Southbound (from I-287, CT)
  1. Take exit 16. You're about 3 minutes away.
  2. Bear left under I-95 following signs to New Roc City and Cedar St.
  3. Proceed straight at stop sign under railroad overpass. Refer to neighborhood map and local directions.



2. I-95 Northbound (Cross Bronx Expwy, New England Thruway) from NYC, Bruckner Expwy, Bronx, GW Bridge, New Jersey
  1. Take exit 16 off I-95. You're about 3 minutes away.
  2. Go left at end of ramp.
  3. Take next right under railroad overpass. Refer to neighborhood map and local directions.

Taking the Triborough Bridge? Immediately after the bridge follow Bruckner Expwy/I-278 to the end merge into I-95 North. Then continue as above on I-95.



3. From Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island via Hutchinson Pkwy
  1. Cross Whitestone Bridge and continue to Hutchinson River Parkway.
  2. Take exit 6 off Hutch onto I-95 North (New England Thruway).
  3. Take exit 16off I-95. You're about 3 minutes away.
  4. Go left at end of exit ramp.
  5. Take next right under railroad overpass. Refer to neighborhood map and local directions.



4. Hutchinson/Merritt Pkwy Southbound from Central Westchester, CT
  1. Take exit 20 (Weaver St., Rt. 125). You're less than 10 minutes away.
  2. Left at end of ramp on Rt 125 south.
  3. Right at third light by the garden center onto Quaker Ridge Rd..
  4. Follow sign to Pine Brook Blvd South. Continue on Pine Brook for 1.7 miles to triangle and stop sign by a small lake.
  5. Bear left at triangle and proceed across the street in same direction, making a slight jog to the right onto Pine Brook Rd. See map on right.
  6. Go left at next light onto 5th Ave. following signs to Business District.
  7. Turn right at next light onto Potter Ave. Continue on Potter over Thruway. Bear right past Marshall's and Stop and Shop to merge onto Palmer Ave. Refer to neighborhood map and local directions.



5. Cross County Pkwy Eastbound from South-Central Westchester
  1. Take parkway East to EXIT 9, Hutchinson Pkwy SOUTH. You're about 10 minutes away.
    Warning!! Read me!!You need to take this exit to get to the Hutch south. If you keep driving to the Hutch merge at end of the Cross County you'll be calling us for help.
  2. Take exit 12, East Lincoln Ave (first exit).
  3. Bear right at end of ramp and right again onto East Lincoln Ave.
  4. Continue about 1.2 miles on Lincoln Ave to Memorial Parkway, following hospital signs.
  5. At circle go 3/4 around, following I-95 signs. Refer to neighborhood map and local directions.



Mass Transit


It's easy to get to The Rock Club by train, bus and subway.

By Train – Metro North

Take the New Haven Line to New Rochelle. It's about 30 minutes from Grand Central. You can walk or take a cab from the station. TRC is only a 12 minute walk (about 1 km, 0.7 miles) so you'll probably just take a cab once. Check the train schedule here.

Walking directions from Metro North station:
The walk is easy, well lit and along highly traveled streets. Bring a copy of the neighborhood map just in case.
  1. Walk to stairs at the front of the platform - that's the end that the train is traveling. Exit out of station onto North Avenue (the cross street over the tracks towards front of train). Your walk will be minimized if you sit in the first car.
  2. Go left onto North Ave. and an immediate right onto Garden St. (about 60 m from station exit).
  3. Continue on Garden St. and go right under the Metro North overpass (about 400 m).
  4. Go left at the Toyota dealer towards the EXPO Design Center.
  5. Proceed toward the EXPO on the sidewalk along the fence. You'll see the New Rochelle Racquet Club opposite the Expo Center directly along the sidewalk.
  6. Continue to the pedestrian passage in the fence just past the racquetball club. Walk through the gate to get to the actual street where the club is located and walk about 50 ft. You'll see a parking lot on your right. The entrance is adjacent to the parking lot. You're here!



Bee-Line Buses
TRC is easily accessible using the Westchester County Bee-Line transit system. Bus stops are indicated on the neighborhood map .

Within Westchester
We're directly on Line 66 which runs from New Rochelle to Dobbs Ferry via Larchmont, Scarsdale and Ardsley.
  1. Get off at Stevenson Blvd. and Palmer Ave. opposite the stone works.
  2. Proceed on Palmer Ave. towards downtown (plainly visible), and cut into cul de sac directly opposite the Nissan dealership. You're here!
From The Bronx (Fordham)
Bee-Line buses operate directly from Fordham in The Bronx.
  1. Take the Bee-Line 60 bus to New Rochelle.
  2. Disembark on in New Rochelle at Main St.
    The stop is directly in front of McDonald's.
  3. Cross Main St and the median to Rhodes St.
  4. Proceed down Rhodes to the end walk. (see neighborhood map ).
    It's 2 blocks, about 4 minutes.
Note: The 61 and 62 buses also go to New Rochelle. Avoid them. Service is less frequent and you'll need to either transfer or walk farther.



Subway

TRC can be easily reached by subway and a short bus ride.
  1. Take the 5 train (Lexington Avenue Express) to Dyre Avenue (last stop). Make sure you take the Eastchester/Dyre Ave train, NOT Nereid Ave!
  2. Exit station and proceed under the tracks to Boston Post Road (about 150 yards). The Bus stop is directly in front of the Duane Reed pharmacy at the corner of Boston Rd. and Dyre Ave.
  3. Catch the Bee-Line 60 bus to New Rochelle per Bronx directions above.
